About Dr. L. Amy Giles, CNM

Dr. L. Amy Giles, CNM, is owner of Allen Midwifery & Family Wellness, a birth center and hospital practice north of Dallas, Texas. She promotes individualized care for all clients, respecting their background, beliefs, and life experiences. She has practiced as a CNM since 2002.
Dr. Giles is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Louise Herrington School of Nursing at Baylor University. She teaches students pursuing their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. Her main areas of specialty are nurse-midwifery, primary care, and lifestyle medicine.
Dr. Giles' areas of scholarship include shared decision making, primary care, nurse-midwifery, and preventative care.
Dr. Giles is committed to teaching the next generation of midwives to be compassionate, evidence-based providers who focus on building relationships with their clients and provding the highest quality care.
